After living and working for 17 years in England (Oxford) and Germany (Cologne and Jena) I re-migrated to the Netherlands in the autumn of 2023. Because of my Southern roots (born and raised in Tilburg) it was obviously no problem to integrate in the cozy, catholic and capital carnival city of Den Bosch.
At the 1st of December I took up my new job as R&D Project Manager Agriculture at Intrahorti. In this role I am translating the academic experience I gained as a plant geneticist and marine (micro)biologist to create valuable products for farmers and growers worldwide. Moreover, Intracare’s motto “pioneers in future proof solutions” aligns perfectly with my convictions on nature conservation and circularity. Next to biology, I have an interest in astronomy and paleontology, and I love music, cinema, reading (fiction), (cultural) festivities, camping, campfires, the sea, and combatting climate change by bicycling to work.
