We are living in an unreal situation with all the effects of the Corona pandemic in the whole world. We are already a few months ahead, but still we face every day the consequences of this virus. In Europe we had a lock down and slowly we see that the authorities are releasing the measurements which were taken to avoid the spread of this infection.
Also for Intracare the effects of the COVID-19 infection created some serious changes in daily life. There is a huge demand of hygiene products and our production team is running in full shifts to fulfil this need. We face, like everybody, sometimes serious difficulties to buy good quality raw materials in the raising volumes which we need. Luckily our team is perfectly able to manage in time supply, also thanks to our dedicated suppliers.
Beside of this we are not able to travel around the world and meet our customers in their own country. Business trips are cancelled, visits of customers abroad to the factory of Intracare here in the Netherlands are cancelled and it looks like that for the whole 2020 there are hardly any (international) exhibitions.
For the sales team of Intracare it means that we need to find alternatives to stay in contact with our distributors and customers. While we normally travel around the world for many “meet and greets” to promote and explain our business, we are now limited in our opportunities. One of the most popular way of staying in contact, is to call with video. Our room for organizing virtual meeting by Zoom and Team meetings is fully occupied. Two other meeting rooms are now equipped with professional camera and sound system, to make multiple conference calls at the same time possible.
We experienced last months that this way of communication is an excellent opportunity to organize meeting and trainings, even for a big group of people. Of course we prefer the face to face contact, but for the time being we have no other option. We are looking forward that traveling returns back to normal and meet you and your team in real.
