As part of Intracare, Intrahorti is working hard on the future. The first of the more than 3,000 foundation piles was driven into the ground last week, officially marking the start of the realisation of the expansion with a new production location of approximately 10,000 m2 for Intracare. The new building, located on the De Dubbelen business park alongside the A50 highway in Veghel, is expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2026. This strategic expansion will enable Intracare to meet the strong global growth in demand for high-quality, antibiotic-free veterinary medicines and (water) hygiene products.
Following a careful and intensive permitting process, and subsequent preparatory groundwork, the construction phase has now begun in collaboration with Acuro, Bouwbedrijf Van de Ven, Timmers, Altebra Nederland, Verstappen van Amelsvoort and Sweegers en de Bruijn are responsible for the realisation of the new factory, which will be built entirely in accordance with the strict European Seveso III directive. The modern complex will house production areas, high-end laboratories, advanced warehousing, distribution facilities and offices, with the highest safety requirements and the latest technical innovations being implemented.
The approximately 90 employees of Intracare will find a modern and inspiring working environment in the new location, with space for future growth and expansion of activities. The existing building, with its specialised GPM+ cleanrooms for the production of veterinary medicines, will remain an integral part of the production site in Veghel.
Managing Director Jan van Geest: "With the realisation of this new, fantastic production facility, we are taking an important step in the further global growth of Intracare. This expansion will enable us to further strengthen our leading position in the market for antibiotic-free solutions for livestock farming and horticulture, and to meet the increasing international demand for our future-proof products."
Intracare employees, representatives of contractor Vd Ven and subcontractors raise a toast to the official start of construction of the new production facility.
