We’ve been talking about it for a long time, but after a challenging and intensive permit process, the lights turned green! It's time to break ground. Over a cup of coffee and some celebratory cake, the contract was signed with contractor Van de Ven. This company, which previously handled the renovation of our current building, will be responsible for the construction of Intracare’s new facility. Intrahorti is part of Intracare BV.
Jan van Geest and Frank van de Ven officially signed the contract in January '25, marking the start of this construction project. Jan van Geest expressed that it’s high time for the foundation piles to go in. “We are bursting at the seams, and our current building can barely meet our needs anymore.” Frank added that he is pleased to take on this project. “Intracare has always been a great client to work with, and it’s an honour for our staff to carry out the work in a quite familiar environment.”
The new building will be an extension of our current factory and will triple our existing capacity. It will feature state-of-the-art technology and enable the sustainable production of our horticultural products. The facility is equipped with geothermal heating and solar panels, meeting the latest environmental standards. The facility complies with all Seveso standards required for the production of our hygiene products. All in all, it’s far from an ordinary factory. It’s a cutting-edge facility that will keep us moving forward for decades to come.
Van de Ven has promised to do everything possible to complete the construction within one year. It’s a serious challenge, but they consider it a realistic goal and essential to support Intrahorti’s continued growth.
We will keep you updated on all developments.
